On the occasion of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in the Kingdom of Bahrain will outline the common roots in food culture between Italy and Arab countries.  One-star Michelin Chef Giuseppe Biuso and his Sous-Chef Fabio Falsetti together with the talented Bahraini Chef Bassam Alalawi will inspire the audience with a live cooking demonstration and food-tasting in celebration of the Italian-Arabic historical link.

Chef Giuseppe Biuso is the Executive Chef of the Therasia Resort in Vulcano, Italy, as well as responsible for the restaurant "Il Cappero", who was just last year reconfirmed the Michelin star, thus crowning his dream of becoming part of the prestigious guide.

Chef Fabio Falsetti graduated  as “Maestro di Cucina Italiana” from  ALMA La Scuola Internazionale di Cucina Italiana (International Italian Culinary School) and won in 2005 the Italian National Award ‘Giovani Talenti’ (Young Talents), and earlier this year joined Chef Biuso in ‘Il Cappero” Therasia Resort Isola di Vulcano.

Chef Bassam Alalawi introduces himself as a self-taught Chef, and Polymath. His interests are not exclusive to Food & Cuisine but rather supplement the field. As the owner of Darseen Café he approaches cooking with an eclectic & modern twist to contemporary flavors, focusing more on the coming together of beautiful combinations, that might not be seemingly obvious,  to create soulful food.

Together, the Italian duo along with Bahrain’s very own talent will surely be impressing the crowd with their multi-cultural collaborative feast.
