As part of its mission to promote national identity and celebrate Bahrain’s cultural heritage, the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities presents the Children’s Cultural Program, running over four consecutive weeks from 4 to 27 August 2025. Held every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9 AM to 12 PM, the program features a wide array of activities designed for children and youth aged 8 to 12, hosted at various prominent cultural venues across the Kingdom.

The program offers a unique opportunity for children to explore their national heritage and develop their creative skills. Each week is built around a unique theme highlighting the variety of cultural experiences curated by the Authority, starting with History Explorers, followed by Archaeologists, then Art and Craft Path, and concluding with Treasures of Bahraini Heritage. These engaging themes aim to instil a deep sense of belonging and pride in the nation’s culture and identity.

The program features exclusive visits to key cultural institutions, including the Bahrain National Museum, the Post Museum, the Pottery Factory, the Art Centre, the Al Jasra Handicrafts Centre, and the House of Basket Weaving. These visits offer children an engaging and hands-on opportunity to connect with Bahrain’s rich cultural legacy.

Participants will enjoy storytelling sessions that highlight traditional tales and proverbs, deepening their understanding of the Kingdom’s oral heritage. The program also includes interactive workshops in arts, crafts, cooking, and photography—designed to nurture creativity and encourage self-expression.

This program reflects the Authority’s ongoing commitment to investing in the cultural and artistic growth of young generations, fostering pride in their roots and national identity.

The program offers the option to register for any of the weeks, with a participation fee of BHD 15 per week.
